How do pressure switches work?
Pressure switches control electric air compressors by responding to changes in air pressure. When the air pressure is low enough, the circuit within the switch closes, and the motor powers the device. Once the pressure rises beyond a set level, it opens the circuit to cut off power. Manufacturers match the main pressure switch and pressure switch relief valve to the unique specifications of the device.
What is a pneumatic switch?
Pneumatic switches use air instead of hydraulic fluids or electrical signals to flip open or closed. These switches use the flow of air to trigger changes, and operators can manipulate the flow of air through multiple different paths to manage more complex pneumatic switch circuits. Modern pneumatic switches have indicators that alert operators about abnormal pressure levels or other potential hazards.
How do pressure regulators work?
Pressure regulators are used in residential, commercial, and industrial gas-based applications. The regulators can ensure a given system only releases gas at low pressure levels that are considered safe for the application. The regulators reduce the outlet pressure to a set maximum regardless of the inlet gas pressure.
How do vacuum regulators work?
Vacuum regulators manage the air pressure at both the inlet and outlet ports of a device. The regulators can stabilize the pressure levels by allowing air into the device’s process lines, which may require future adjustments or maintenance.
